New Year, New Accounting

Since the flipping game came back into my life in 2015 in a bigger way than expected, I vowed to clean up the books for 2016. I launched Etsy in late September 2015 and by year end had gross product sales of $544.11, eBay for the year was decent. Now that its 2016 I have to deal with it tax wise. My accounts were co-mingled in 2015, I was buying from the bins with our points credit card, buying personal & household stuff out of the Paypal account and generally being negligent to this business which could be profitable. Free Reporting Tool for Ebay, Etsy and More

Just a quick post here. A few months ago, when I started getting back into the eBay flipping game I wanted to have a visual report to identify trends and show sales progress for free. The solution I ended up going with is called SumAll. SumAll is pretty cool in that you can plug all kinds of online engagement/sales channels into one interface and track trends for free. Of course they offer a paid suite that is probably super rad though for my activity that isn’t warranted. First 100.00 on Etsy!

About a month and a half ago, encouraged by my buddy I launched a new shop on Etsy.com. I had a shop on Etsy years ago attempting to sell vintage prints from scanned slides. I had no sales there and after 6 months, I closed that situation down. The focus of this shop, much like that of my friend Josh was vintage men’s clothing with a keen focus on trucker hats.
